It is with great pleasure, that I write this letter of recommendation for Spencer, in his pursuit of establishing the Triple H Tackling Academy as a quality/specialist experience for Athletes, that desire to play at the top level of the game.

As Spencer’s Defensive Coordinator at the University of Hawai’i, I had the privilege of watching him evolve not only as a player, but also as a person and a leader.

Spencer embodies the tenacity and motivation a coach hopes to find in any athlete. He loves the sport of Football and is educated in the sport beyond just his position.

Tackling is definitely an area of his expertise. He consistently performed at the Strong and Free Safety positions against some of the best Offensive teams in NCAA Division 1 Football.

Coach Rich Miano

Philadelphia Eagles| Atlanta Falcons

I had the great pleasure of coaching and mentoring Spencer Smith throughout his highly successful tenure as both a student /athlete and a person at the University of Hawaii. Spencer easily integrated himself in this very diverse ethnic and cultural place we call Hawaii. Spencer was well liked by his professors, coaches and teammates alike. The term STUDENT/ATHLETE in some cases seem to be an oxymoron. Spencer embodied not only the true meeting of the term, but he was able to enjoy the " college life". I am very confident in Spencer’s potential and passion to do whatever Spencer sets his mind and passion to do.

The art of tackling has become much more visible and important due to the well deserved attention and publicity generated by the NFL concussion lawsuit and other high profile lawsuits etc. Spencer was a very good tackler who has dedicated his time and researched the safest way to teach tackling with the health and welfare of the individual playing this game that he loves called football.

Carlton J. Kell High School

I have been very fortunate during the course of my career to have been around some great players.

I have also had the opportunity to work with some great men as coaches. In this case, I had the incredible opportunity to know Spencer Smith in both roles.

I was a coach at Kell in 2005 when Spencer was a Senior Defensive Back, Wide Receiver and Kick Returner.

His drive, determination and leadership were top shelf even when he was in high school. I followed his impressive career at Hawaii as he continued to grow as a football player, student and man.

Upon graduation, Spencer came home to Kell and I hired him to coach our defensive backs. His passion, knowledge and expertise were immediately evident and well respected. I am excited that Spencer has taken on the task of teaching tackling to the next generation of football players.

What are parents saying?

"When in the presence of Coach Spencer, it is immediately apparent that he is a passionate, committed, and driven individual. He has an engaging personality and positive spirit that draws out the best in people. When you combine this wealth of positive attributes with his knowledge of the game of football and his dedication to teaching young players, great things happen!I have seen immediate results in my son as well as several of his teammates since they began his Tackling Academy. They are excited about their roles on defense, they are successfully using the outstanding tackling techniques that they have learned from Coach Spencer, and they have taken their skills to a whole new level.I am so thrilled to have such an outstanding person as a mentor for my son, and I am grateful that Coach Spencer shares his time and talents with our players.I highly recommend his Program to any and all looking to improve! This truly is the best Training available!"

"As a parent of a defensive player we have been looking for quite some time for quality tackling technique training.

Fortunately for us we found it!

Coach Smith does high intensity position specific training with state of the art equipment that will help my son get to and surpass the next level!

His sessions are fast paced and very energetic.

The best part is that Coach Smith actually takes the time to explain and correct even the slightest mistakes in technique that will translate to HUGE advantages on the field!

He is by far the best tackling technique trainer around!"
